Tuna salad sandwich

Since DD can eat most of the things we eat now, I’ve been trying different foods for lunch.  After I twittered about getting a tuna sandwich yesterday, a friend of mine asked for a picture.  So this is in response to her request.  :)

Today’s lunch (and also yesterday’s) was Tuna Salad Sandwich.  I didn’t have any vegetables on hand so I just went plain + a little twist.

Ingredients for 2 – 3 servings:

  • 1 can of tuna fillet
  • 1/2 cup of raisins
  • 1/3 cup of mayonaise*
  • 1 teaspoon of dijon mustard*
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sugar
  • a dash of black pepper

* estimated

I emptied the can of tuna fillet into a bowl and mashed it up really well.  Then I added about 3 big spoonfuls of mayonaise (about 1/2 cup) and a teaspoon of dijon mustard and mixed it up.  I then sprinkled the sugar and black pepper on top of it and mixed it in.  I added the raisins (the twist)last.

Any of the condiments can be added to your taste.  The tuna was salty enough for me, so I didn’t add any salt.  But if you like stronger taste, then feel free to add some salt.  The sugar was to bring out all the flavors.

So it was because of the raisins, DD was able to finish the sandwich without any problems even though she doesn’t really like the slightly strong smell of tuna.  Hey, whatever it takes, right?  :)

Yes, Twitter…

I don’t know how many people are like me who weren’t really into the whole e-networking scene but ended up converting.  Just a few years ago, I liked the good old paper and pen for a planner instead of a PDA and a good old phone call because typing on IM is too slow.

But recently, I have gotten myself a Facebook account and, just yesterday, Twitter.  Yup.  Through all the resisting and determination of not getting into these social networking sites, and especially the giving of your life over to the small tweets of 140 characters of yourself and others, I broke down.

What is to become of me?  Will I sit in front of my computer and type updates of my life every half hour?  Will I check the tweets of the people I follow on my Blackberry when I can’t get my hands on my computer??  Will I install Twitter on my Facebook so everyone can see that I have Twitter???

Too late…

Already done them.

It’s not too bad so far.  It’s kind of neat to be able to just type a simple sentence instead of sitting here for an hour trying to figure out what to write for this blog.  Being a SAHM, time is of the essence.  So small tweets here and there can actually help my DH and other family members and friends to know what DD and I are doing at home.  And I’m also using it to keep people updated on the progress of my shop, too.  So far, it’s a win-win situation.  We’ll see when I start to forget to twitter…
