The Winner!

May 5th, 2009 § 2

So after many posts on Twitter and Facebook and Etsy forums, the result of my first giveaway was not very successful.  Maybe I should have kept it on longer.  Maybe I should have gone on Etsy more?  So many things I could have done, but this was a last minute idea anyways.  :)  It was fun!  I ran a random integer generator on Random.org and here is the result:

New Earrings!

I called these “Grace” earrings.  No cool story this time though.  But I do like these because it’s simple but graceful and it’s got that asian flair.  :)  I really like jade because it’s soft in color and simple in its existence but then it’s also precious and valuable.  So I used 10mm New Jade and glass beads in this pair.  I used sterling silver ball pin and silver plated kidney earwires.  It’s about 1.5″ long.  Hope you like it!

The story behind “Esther” earrings

April 30th, 2009 Comments Off

It’s a simple story really.

My sister-in-law came to me and asked me to come up with a pair of earrings for her friend.  She came over and I showed her my stash of beads and findings and we just started putting something together.  The result is this pair of fun earrings:

esther-earrings1

(These earrings are antiqued with 18K gold leaf over sterling silver plated earwires and antique copper plated springs. Pink faceted luster edge glass beads and antiqued gold toned spacers dangle from the springs. About 2″ long.)

So I dedicated this set to my sister-in-law!  :)

Now, you can get this pair of earrings in my Etsy Shop

NOTE: Some earrings I have in stock and some I make to order.  As of right now, all can be shipped out within a few days.

Yup, this time with jewelry!  I am kicking off my Simplicity line of earrings, bracelets, and necklaces.  These will be made with white or neutral color freshwater pearls.  These are great for going to office parties, conventions, political events, and weddings.

The simple design with elegance is what I’m shooting for.   Most of these will be made with sterling silver or 14K gold-plated findings.
