So as I was following Mitsy at ArtMind on her blog and twitter, she suddenly posted her Happy Girl tutorial. So I immediately went to see what’s up. And I’m so glad I read it because it made my day!
I followed her tutorial and made some changes to tailor to my fancy and came up with the following:
Some changes/ideas I added to her tutorial:
- I made a knot below the wood bead to make a neck.
- Instead of double sided tape which I don’t have, I used a glue gun to glue all the clothes and the arms on.
- As for the clothes, I experimented with a shirt and shorts for a boy and a overall dress for the girl with the hat. I folded the felt up so I can cut out both sides the clothes at the same time.
- I added a button in between the top knot and the wood bead for a cute hat!
Here is a picture of the faces drawn on. I messed up the first one (the yellow girl on the bottom left) when I used too big of a marker. Then after I switched to the 02 Pigma Micron pen it worked out much better. :)
Anyways, thanks Mitsy for the happy tutorial!
